Cathy Olig was recognized with a Friend of Education Award at the school board meeting held on September 11, 2017.
She was surprised and honored to be recognized by her community’s school district for volunteering her communications skills to help inform and educate fellow residents. Her daughter was the artist of the bus scape that has become the traditional award for a Friend of Education.
Giving back and supporting public education is important to Cathy, who attended public school while growing up in the Fox Cities and went on to complete her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She continues to be an active volunteer at her children’s schools.
